Healthy Potato Chips!

The title of this list could be an oxymoron. Potato chips, by and large are not healthy. Fact is, the concept of a creating a conventional chip is a process of frying, usually in corn oil, which means lots of unhealthy fats and destroyed nutrients. But, not so with these varieties.

None contain those nasty trans fat, and rest assured, you can forget that awful “c” word. With minimal carbohydrates, hardly any fat content and low calories, eating the whole bag won’t stretch your waistline. Dig in. (This post originally appeared on BestCovery.com)

Why it’s best: If it doesn’t taste good, it’s not a snack,” so says the wise folks at popchips, and with every bite and crunch, you simply cannot disagree. We loved the light, airy feeling of these chips, which come from the pressurized technique used to create these no bake, no fry gems. Popchips contain zero trans fats and 22 chips are 35 calories, that’s less than two calories per chip. We love the Sea Salt and Vinegar variety. Yum

Why it’s a best pick: Did you know sweet potatoes contain cancer fighting properties? Not only that, but the people of Terra have other fancy root vegetable varieties that are sure to delight your buds and your eyes. We picked Terra as a best pick as it contains 0 trans fat and 0 cholesterol! The┬árich and flavorful sweet potatoes are cooked to perfection with no added salt. Each Terra Plain Sweet Potato chip also contains vitamin A, good for healthy skin and hair! What good is a snack if it doesn’t make your hair look good, right?
